A Senior Patent Engineer

Founded in 1970, LE GUEN et ASSOCIÉS has become a recognized consulting firm in the high-tech sectors. Working with major French and international groups, as well as SMEs, LE GUEN et ASSOCIÉS has offices in Rennes, Paris and Saint-Malo.

Keen to meet the needs of its clients, LE GUEN et ASSOCIÉS is looking for a senior patent engineer (CEIPI required, 5 years of experience) to join its team.

The position is based in Rennes or Saint-Malo. Applications for the Paris office will not be accepted.

Role

The successful candidate will be able to participate in the management of a patent portfolio, including the following activities:

• Advice for patent protection.
• Identification and/or clarification of inventions.
• Drafting patent applications in French or English.
• Management of issuance procedures, particularly in France, Europe, the United States and China.
• Prior art, patentability and freedom-to-operate studies.
• Participation in public presentations or presentations to our clients.

Candidate

• Specialization in patent protection for computer-implemented inventions is required.
• Have experience in an industrial property firm or department (5 years).
• Having a CEIPI diploma (mandatory).
• Being a European patent attorney and/or CPI would be an advantage.
• Possess good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
