Did you know? The graphic elements of your designs (logos, shapes, etc.) can potentially be protected by trademark registration. It's important that the elements you wish to protect are visible during normal use of the product by the consumer. A part that is only visible during product maintenance or repair will not be protected.


Disclosure by the creator can also destroy the novelty or individual character of a design. Therefore, if you are the applicant, you are strongly advised not to display, use, or market any products incorporating your designs before filing your application.
